Jeremy Kane Acting Chairman

Mr Kane has over 40 years business experience and is the Founder and Chairman of European Public Policy Advisers (EPPA), Ergo Communications and Landmark Europe.

Peter Moir President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr Moir has over 30 years upstream industry experience with Shell International, BG Group and as an independent Consultant.  He holds a BSc in Civil/Gas Engineering, a MEng in Petroleum Engineering and is a UK Chartered Engineer.  He brings a combination of technical, strategic, commercial and operational experience to Elko.  His recent senior executive positions include Asset General Manager for the Central North Sea for British Gas (BG Group Plc).  Prior to joining Elko, Peter was a senior consultant working on the complex stakeholder management issues of the 10 billion barrel Kashagan oil project in the Caspian Sea.

John Conlon

Mr Conlon has been involved in the mining industry since 1972, first as owner of Webcon Equipment Inc, a company that supplies mining and tunnel equipment worldwide; partner in Graham Mining, a mining contracting company involved in mine development in  northern Canada; and Driftech Inc, a company engaged in the business of repairs and manufacturing mining equipment.

Chris Irwin

Mr Irwin practices securities and corporate/commercial law and has been the President of Irwin Professional Corporation since August 2006.  Prior to forming Irwin Professional Corporation, Mr Irwin was an associate of Wildeboer Dellelce LLP (January 2004 to August 2006), Power Budd LLP, Barristers and Solicitors (January 2001 to December 2004) and Boyle & Company, Barristers and Solicitors (December 1998 to December 2000).  He received his Bachelor of Arts from Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec in 1990 and his Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick in 1994.  Chris has been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 1996.  Mr Irwin is a director and/or officer of several public resources companies and his corporate governance experience will be a great asset to Elko.

Alan Hume: Chief Financial Officer

Alan is a chartered management accountant (FCMA) with over 20 years senior level finance and commercial experience.  He has significant international exposure having been based in Norway, South Africa and the Middle East and is well acquainted with the needs of both start-up companies and established international oil and gas service organizations.

Charlotte May: Corporate Secretary

Charlotte provides consulting services to Elko in the areas of corporate secretarial, marketing, and public company administration. She has over 20 years experience gained in the institutional brokerage industry and the oil and gas and junior industrial sectors.
