Elko Associates

Elko’s business model is to keep the number of full-time staff to a minimum of the CEO and CFO.  Elko makes use of part-time staff and also uses the services of a number of independent, experienced industry professionals who are engaged on a daily call-off basis.  This enables Elko management to optimize the use of key resources as required by workload, whilst constraining overheads.

John Chamberlain: Denmark Exploration Coordinator

John manages Elko’s exploration program in Denmark including contractor selection and monitoring and government and partner liaison, and he acts as geophysical advisor to the Elko group in the Netherlands and other areas.  Harvard and Cambridge educated to PhD level, John is a geophysicist with over 28 years industry experience in technical and management roles, mainly with Phillips Petroleum in the UK.

Roger Colmer: Drilling and Development Advisor

Roger provides exploration and field development drilling and well intervention expertise to Elko. He is a Chartered Engineer and has over 33 years international engineering and management experience in drilling and technical management with Shell.

Yorck de Heer: Netherlands Country Manager

Yorck is Elko’s country manager in the Netherlands liaising with state agencies and the industry community. He holds a law degree from Amsterdam University and has held various senior legal positions in Shell and Billiton in the oil and gas E&P and mining industry.

Peter Fellows: Asset Development Consultant

Peter is responsible for reservoir engineering, asset development and investment economics activity for Elko. He holds a BSc in Physics/Chemistry and a MSc in Physics and has over 39 years international experience in drilling, reservoir engineering, economics and asset management with Schlumberger, Burmah, Sun Oil, Kufpec and Agip.

Sarah Moore: Group Accountant

Sarah is responsible for the management and financial accounting function of the Elko group. She is a chartered accountant with a BCom specializing in accounting and has experience in a Big 4 professional services environment.

Gordon Parry: Exploration Coordinator

Gordon is responsible for exploration, geosciences and stakeholder management activity for Elko. Gordon holds a BSc in geology and a PhD in geophysics and has over 30 years international experience with Shell in geosciences, exploration management, business development and reputation management.
